Role Overview:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Coordinator to lead the efforts in managing, building, and strengthening our rapidly growing community of Israeli and Palestinian peace-tech builders. The Community Coordinator will be at the forefront of cultivating a vibrant, supportive, and engaged community, facilitating connections, and fostering an environment of mutual respect and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage the Tech2Peace community, both online and in person.

  • Facilitate community dialogue and peace-building activities, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

  • Organize and coordinate community events, workshops, and training sessions that align with Tech2Peace's mission.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community members, addressing concerns, providing support, and fostering positive relationships.

  • Collaborate with the Tech2Peace team to integrate community feedback into program development and improvement.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement strategies, making data-driven decisions to enhance community growth and satisfaction.

  • Create and disseminate engaging content across various platforms to highlight community achievements, stories, and opportunities for involvement.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations, stakeholders, and influencers within the peace-tech ecosystem.

  • Advocate for the community's needs and interests within the organization, ensuring that the community's voice is heard and valued in decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Communication, International Relations) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in community management, preferably within a multicultural or conflict-resolution context.

  • Strong understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and a commitment to promoting peace and reconciliation.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.

  • Experience organizing and facilitating events, workshops, or training programs.

  • Proficient in social media and digital communication tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Hebrew and/or Arabic is highly desirable.

Location:

 

Flexible. Can work mostly from home; some travel is required in Israel (mostly Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv) and Area C in the West Bank.
